What transport options will be available for Optus Stadium?
The Optus Stadium transport solution is an integrated train, bus and pedestrian approach that is able to move almost 50,000 people or 83 per cent of a capacity crowd within one hour of an event ending. Public transport locations listed below:

  • Perth Stadium Station (upgraded Belmont Park Train Station)
  • East Perth Station
  • Peninsula Bus Hub
  • Gloucester Park Bus Hub

Non-public transport users will either walk, get dropped-off (taxi or private), or drive and park.

What does restricted view mean?
The AFL has classed restricted view seating based on the below parameters:

Obstructed view refers to seats that have obstruction directly in the line of view of the playing arena and could include, but is not limited to, being positioned behind a railing, broadcast camera, speakers or support poles. The playing arena does not include the goal posts, scoreboard or the ball going beyond the playing boundary lines. Obscured view tickets are categorised based on a person of average height and their inability to view at least two thirds of the playing arena.

All restricted view seats are priced at 70 per cent of the standard seating price.

Where is the Freo Clubhouse at Optus Stadium?

Where are the alcohol free sections located?
The alcohol free sections at Optus Stadium are located:

  • Section 131 - Fremantle cheer squad and Fremantle members
  • Section 105 – Opposition cheer squad and single match ticket buyers


Does the stadium offer lift access?
Yes, Optus Stadium offers lift access across all five levels of Optus Stadium. For seat specific lift access please contact the membership services team to discuss.


Is the orientation of the stadium the same as Domain Stadium?
Yes. The orientation of Optus Stadium is the same as Domain Stadium with the goals positioned at the eastern and western ends of the field.


Which area of the stadium will receive the most sunlight?
The nature of sun protection depends on the position of the sun throughout the day. Generally speaking, the south eastern ends of the stadium will receive the most sunlight during the afternoon.


How many seats are classed as undercover?
Although Optus Stadium is reported to have 85% of seats under the dripline, the roof is very lightweight - and very high. This means that most sections are subject to the elements, particularly in the event of heavy rain or wind. The club recommends that members use Virtual Venue to navigate sections of Optus Stadium for a greater understanding of cover.


Where are the corporate hospitality seats located?

Can I smoke in the stadium?
Smoking is not permitted inside the stadium. Designated smoking areas are available. For directions to these designated smoking areas, please see a Optus Stadium staff member or visit the membership services desk.


What is prohibited within the stadium?
The following items are not permitted in the venue:

  • Glass bottles, alcohol, cans and unsealed soft drink bottles
  • Horns, whistles and other musical instruments
  • Helmets and prams in any form

*Umbrellas may be taken in to the venue, but cannot be opened.

Flags with poles can be taken into the ground but the handles must be less than one metre in length and no thicker than a standard broom handle. All flag poles must have a flag attached.

Where are the first aid facilities located at Optus Stadium?
Medical crews will be present inside the Stadium to attend to any problems. Please see stadium staff for assistance.


Are cloaking facilities available?
A limited cloaking service is available for small items only. We recommend you leave bags and other large items at home so you don’t get held up coming into the stadium.


Will my bag be checked?
Yes. All bags will be subject to a security check upon entry.

Where is membership services located on a match day?
Membership services will be located at Gate B at Optus Stadium


Where will the home and away cheer squads be located at Optus Stadium?
The Fremantle Dockers Cheer Squad will be located in section 131 with the visiting Cheer Squad located in section 105.


Where is Optus Stadium?
Optus Stadium is located on the Burswood Peninsula, 4kms east of the Perth CBD.


How do I get to Optus Stadium?
Public Transport is the most efficient way to arrive and depart the Stadium. Membership cards and tickets include return travel on Transperth rail and bus services. Stadium station and East Perth station are the closest train stations to the Stadium.


Where can I park?
There is no parking within the Stadium Park precinct.

Members are urged to take advantage of the additional public transport services available on a game day which are free with your membership and/or ticket.

The best parking option the club can offer is Match Day parking at Gloucester Park, more information can be found here.


Can I register for ACROD permit?
There is limited ACROD parking and a space is not guaranteed. If there are no parking bays available, an ACROD Drop-Off pass can be provided.

To register your interest in ACROD Parking, please complete the form found here. To access the ACROD Parking or Drop-Off areas, you must have a valid event ticket, ACROD permit and a parking or drop-off pass.

Registrations for ACROD parking will open three weeks prior to each event, and will close at 9am on the Monday before each event.

Will there be food and drink available to purchase?
Yes, food and beverage facilities are available throughout the stadium. Supporters are also permitted to bring food and non-alcoholic beverages into the venue for their personal consumption.


How do I make a complaint from game day?
Report any unusual or suspicious behaviour, unattended items and anti-social behaviour to Stadium staff or Police immediately. Or text 0409 317 771 for assistance.

Can I upgrade a child or concession membership on a match day?
Adults wishing to use a child or concession membership seat can upgrade at a Ticketmaster outlet on a match day at a small additional cost. Further information about Ticketmaster outlets will be confirmed closer to the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

Can I on-sell my memberships and tickets?
Fremantle Dockers memberships, season tickets and match-by-match tickets may not, without the prior written authorisation of the Fremantle Dockers, be resold, or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes (including competitions or trade promotions). If a Fremantle Dockers membership, season ticket or match-by-match ticket is sold in breach of these conditions it will be void and will not entitle the holder admission to the event. The unlicensed resale of a Fremantle Dockers membership, season ticket or match-by-match ticket is against the terms and conditions of membership and may lead to the holder of the membership/ticket being denied entry to the event. The Fremantle Dockers have the right to cancel the membership/ticket without compensation.

How do interstate members access Fremantle games in their state?
Interstate members in Northern Territory, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, Queensland and South Australia are entitled to redeem one free ticket for a Fremantle Dockers game played in their state. Members can also purchase additional tickets for guests with the number of tickets available depending on the venue. Tickets for interstate games are subject to capacity and must be redeemed at least two weeks prior to the game. These can be redeemed via their MyFreo Account or by calling the club on (08) 9433 7111. Tickets will then be distributed approximately one week before the game.


How do Victorian members access Fremantle games in their state?
Victorian based members who hold a Melbourne membership have access to qualifying games that Fremantle play at the MCG and/or Marvel Stadium in the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership season.

Simply scan the barcode on the back of the Melbourne membership card at the gate and you will be entitled to General Admission access to all Fremantle Dockers Qualifying games played at the MCG and/or Marvel Stadium


Do West Australian members get access to interstate games?
Members with home game membership access do not get interstate access included as part of their membership.


Does my membership give me access to Toyota AFL Finals Series?
All members are required to purchase a ticket for 2021 Toyota AFL Finals Series. Your Fremantle Dockers membership card will not be able to scan for entry.

Fremantle Dockers members will have access to a pre-sale to purchase Toyota AFL Finals tickets to games in which Fremantle Dockers participate in.

The club will communicate directly with members regarding the on-sale times and ticketing agents for the Toyota AFL Finals Series.
