How will I be allocated a seat at Optus Stadium?
To be guaranteed a seat at Optus Stadium existing members will be required to complete the following process:
1.) All financial reserve seat members will be invited via email to utilise the on-line interactive seating map Virtual Perth Stadium to review the reserved seat membership options available at Optus Stadium.
2.) The club will then allocate and communicate via email a ‘like for like’ reserved seat that is comparable to their previous seat at Domain Stadium. Members can then accept the new seat at Optus Stadium; or
3.) Utilise the Virtual Perth Stadium seating map to move to an alternative location in the stadium during a priority purchase period to be communicated to via email. (Subject to availability and with priority given based on years of membership).
Is communication going to be sent via email, phone or mail?
All communication by the club will be sent via email. The club has been in email contact with group leaders and group members regularly throughout 2017, so please contact the club if you have yet to receive any emails.
When will I know my priority purchase period is open?
The club will inform all members, via email, of details of their priority purchase period. This will occur in the days and weeks after the club has finalised the stadium user agreement to play at Optus Stadium.
How long will I have to make a decision about my group’s seats?
The club expects the members priority purchase period to last approximately five weeks once it commences; this will occur in the days after the club has finalised the stadium user agreement to play at Optus Stadium. Once your members priority purchase period opens, it will remain open until the end of the seating allocation period; however, it is important to note that the flexibility and options to re-locate will diminish the longer you wait to secure your seats.
Will my new seat be similar to my seat at Domain Stadium?
The club will allocate members a reserved seat(s) at Optus Stadium in a similar category and location to their previous seating arrangements at Domain Stadium.
As a Harbour Master, will I gain priority access to Virtual Perth Stadium?
Yes. The priority purchase period will ensure Harbour Master members are at the top of the priority list to view/confirm and/or change their allocated seats at Optus Stadium.
Can I change my allocated seat if I am unhappy with what I have been allocated?
Yes. Once the club has allocated members a reserved seat that is the equivalent to their previous seat at Domain Stadium members can then accept the new seat at Optus Stadium or utilise the on-line stadium seating map Virtual Perth Stadium to move to an alternative location in the stadium (subject to availability and with priority given based on years of membership).
Can I purchase additional membership seats for friends and family?
Yes. Members who are interested in securing additional seats at Optus Stadium will have access to purchase additional seats during their priority purchase period via the interactive on-line stadium seating map Virtual Perth Stadium.
What is a stadium grouping form?
Earlier in 2017 the club sent out communication asking members to submit the names of those they would like to sit with at Optus Stadium in 2018. The purpose of collecting this information was to make it a smooth transition to Optus Stadium for all members. Once a stadium grouping form was submitted that member became the stadium group leader, responsible for coordinating the group of people they are planning to sit with.
What is a stadium group deposit?
The stadium group leader will be responsible for paying a $10 per seat deposit to secure the group’s allocated seats for 2018. Once payment has been made and seating has been confirmed, the $10 deposit will be transferred into each individual members account. Groups will be encouraged to work between themselves to ensure necessary reimbursements are made to the group leader if required.
Who is required to pay for the stadium group deposit?
Each stadium group leader will be responsible for communicating with their group the requirements of paying the stadium group deposit. It will be the group leader’s responsibility to pay the $10 deposit for all seats within the stadium group. Groups will be encouraged to work between themselves to ensure necessary reimbursements are made to the group leader if required.
I don’t have a debit/credit card; how can I pay my deposit?
Members without a debit or credit card are advised to contact the membership services team. Please note that the only way to change your initial seat allocation, and finalise the transaction, is by utilising Virtual Perth Stadium and paying with a debit/credit card. We would strongly recommend using a debit or credit card and securing your seats through the Virtual Perth Stadium process online.
I have a companion card (complimentary membership); do I still have to pay a deposit for that seat?
Yes. The $10 deposit will be credited to the accompanying (paid) seat in the account when 2018 membership renewal invoices are sent out.
Can I pay the full balance of my seats during the priority purchase period?
No. Members will need to wait until 2018 membership renewal invoices are issued, from December.
How long will I have to secure my seat? Will there be a cut off time?
Yes. Once a member has been allocated a priority purchase period, the priority period will stay open for the remainder of the five week transition period. All members will be required to secure their seats by the end of the five week transition period.
When am I required to pay the first instalment on my 2018 Freo Advantage Payment Plan?
The first instalment for the Freo Advantage Payment Plan is scheduled for 17 January, 2018 for all renewing reserved seat members. By this time, each member will have been able to confirm their new seat as well as pay the $10 per seat deposit to secure the seat in their name.
When will I receive the invoice for the balance of my membership renewal payment?
Individual members will be issued an invoice for payment of the balance of their 2018 membership renewal (less the $10 deposit per seat) from December. Please note, the first instalment for the Freo Advantage Payment Plan is scheduled for 17 January, 2018 for all renewing reserved seat members.
How will the seating be allocated for current country 5/6 game members?
All renewing Country 5/6 game members will be allocated into sections 510/511 at Optus Stadium. Any new members purchasing Country 5/6 game memberships will continue to be allocated into these sections. If any member is unhappy with the allocation of their membership seat they will be encouraged to look at a different membership package.
Can we sit with a group of Country 5/6 game members we don’t currently sit with?
If you are looking to sit with other country 5/6 game members you will be able to ensure you are all sitting together through the interactive seating map, Virtual Perth Stadium during your member priority purchase period.
Will my Country 5/6 game seat be similar to those at Domain Stadium?
No. For those Country 5/6 game members transitioning to the new Perth Stadium, seating will be different to where they sat at Domain Stadium. All renewing Country 5/6 game members will be allocated into sections 510/511. If a country 5/6 game member is unhappy with the allocation of their seat, they will be encouraged to look at a different membership package.
I’m a current 3-game reserved seat member; when can I purchase seats at Optus Stadium?
Three-game reserved seat members will have the opportunity to select from the range of 2018 full season membership options through a member priority purchase period in October. The 3-game reserved seat membership will not be available for the 2018 season however there will be a General Admission 3-game membership available for purchase closer to the start of the 2018 season.
I’m a Purple Army member; can I purchase a seat at Optus Stadium?
2017 Purple Army members will have the opportunity to purchase reserved seat memberships at Optus Stadium during the member’s priority purchase period via the online interactive seating map Virtual Perth Stadium.
When will I be able to visit Optus Stadium to view my seats?
Fremantle members will be encouraged to visit Optus Stadium early next year with the club’s AFL Women’s team confirmed to play at the stadium on Saturday, 10 February in an early round of the 2018 AFLW season. All Fremantle members will be encouraged to attend the match to view their membership seat allocations for the first time.
It is important to note that members will gain a strong understanding of what their seats will look like through the interactive Virtual Perth Stadium seating map.
Can I purchase seats after the initial release of Virtual Perth Stadium?
The initial release of the Virtual Perth Stadium program will allow members to view the stadium seating map as well as the different price points for 2018.
Members will then receive further communication via email regarding their priority purchase period to transact and make changes to their reserved seat allocation.
It is encouraged members take the time to get comfortable with using the program on the static release.
Can I confirm my new seat offer via Virtual Perth Stadium?
Yes, all 2017 season members will initially be offered a seat and will have the opportunity to view and confirm their new seats via the online interactive seating map, Virtual Perth Stadium.
Can I add additional seats to my seat offer via Virtual Perth Stadium?
Yes, all 2017 members will have access to a member’s priority period whereby they can view and accept their allocated seat offer and purchase additional seating via Virtual Perth Stadium.
Can I move my seats to a different area of the stadium after receiving my seat offer?
Yes, members wishing to move seats will have access to a members priority period to view all 2018 membership seating availability and move to a new area of the stadium via Virtual Perth Stadium.
Can I remove any of my seats after my seat offer?
Yes, once 11-game 2017 members have received their offer of seating they will be able to remove seats from their account. The process for completing this request will be to get in touch with the Fremantle Dockers membership team on 9433 7111 or email@example.com. Due to the high volume of enquiries, the membership team will ensure all requests are actioned within two business days.
Can I split my stadium group to different areas of the stadium?
Yes, if you are a stadium group leader and wish to split the existing stadium group to different areas of the stadium you will need to get in touch with the Fremantle Dockers membership team on 9433 7111 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are a stadium group member and wish to split from your current stadium group you will need to notify your stadium group leader to make contact with the club. Due to the high volume of enquiries, the membership team will ensure all requests are actioned within two business days.
Why can’t I view my exact seat?
Virtual Perth Stadium provides users with the opportunity to access multiple 360 degree viewpoints within each section of seating to provide members with a strong indication of the viewpoint on match day.
I have junior and/or concession members within my group; why can I only see adult price points?
All 2018 members will be issued their membership renewal invoices with adjustments made if they have held a junior or concession membership in 2017.
All prices in Virtual Perth Stadium are listed as the adult rate. To view concession or junior prices in Virtual Perth Stadium, simply click on the PRICE LIST tab when viewing seats in Virtual Perth Stadium.
Can I visit the membership services team for assistance with my seating requirements?
It is very important that group leaders attempt to access Virtual Perth Stadium from their own device. When can I visit the membership services team for assistance with my seating requirements?
All group leaders will be required to book in their appointments during their allocated priority purchase period. Appointments will occur each day throughout the five week transition period. To avoid disappointment, we ask that group leaders do not visit membership services at Cockburn ARC without first making an appointment.
Will there be computers to access Virtual Perth Stadium at the Fremantle Administration office?
If you are unable to access Virtual Perth Stadium at home and would like to visit the Fremantle Administration office situated at Cockburn ARC, 31 Veterans Parade, Cockburn Central the club will have computer access available for members to confirm their seats. If you require assistance from a membership services team member an appointment booking will be required prior.
I can’t seem to get Virtual Perth Stadium to load on my computer, what should I do?
Virtual Perth Stadium is accessible via the updated versions of Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. If you are having difficulties loading the Virtual Perth Stadium program please contact the Membership Services team on 9433 7111.
I can’t access Virtual Perth Stadium at home and am unable to visit the Fremantle Administration Office?
It’s important that group leaders are able to access and use Virtual Perth Stadium as it is the only way to gain an accurate view of seats at Perth Stadium. If you are encountering technical difficulties, try accessing Virtual Perth Stadium on an alternative device or browser as well as being unable to visit the Cockburn administration office please contact the Membership Services team on (08) 9433 7111 to arrange a phone appointment with one of our membership staff.
